ABID MAJID

Founder & CEO and Investment Committee Member

Abid is Founder & CEO and a member of the Investment Committee. He started his investment banking career at Goldman Sachs in London in 1997 in Debt Capital Markets within Fixed Income and moved on to Credit Advisory; he then went to work as an investment manager with Tailwind Advisory & Management and then as Portfolio Manager at Harmony Capital Management. In 2008 he co-founded Featherstone Capital Partners, a UK based investment manager previously focused on Fund of Hedge Funds but now specialising in Private Credit/Debt, Asset Backed Financing and Leasing. He graduated from the London School of Economics with a degree in Economics.

HALIM SAAD

Partner, GP Member and Risk Committee Member

Halim is a Partner, a member of the Risk Committee and a Member of the Board of Managers at the GP. In 1990 he joined Paine Webber as Managing Director, in charge of Institutional sales. In 1997, he moved to London as General Manager in charge of the Institutional Desk and B2B services of Refco Europe and he led the Integration of Lind-Waldock Europe. From 2004, Halim held a CEO position in a Japanese Oil Trading firm, in a GCC Family office and was a Managing Partner of Citation Capital Management with focus on Corporate Finance. He also founded Vega Capital Management, a Private Equity and Venture Capital advisory and deal making firm.

JAMES NIMMO

Risk Committee Chairman

James is Chairman of the Risk Committee. He has over 30 years of M&A experience in the City of London and internationally. James began his legal career at Ashursts, where he was a corporate partner until 1999. Between 1999 and 2003, he was a partner in the international corporate transactions group of Squire Sanders, and James subsequently undertook a number of consultancy and advisory engagements. Previously, James joined Arkios in January 2005 and was appointed a director the following year. He holds a degree in law from Peterhouse College, Cambridge.

ANDREW SLATFORD

Risk Committee Member

Andrew is a member of the Risk Committee. Until recently he was Group Credit Risk Director of Hitachi Capital (UK) PLC. Andrew has spent over 32 years in the European leasing and asset-based lending industry. Andrew graduated from the University of Bath with a degree in European Studies. He also worked in credit risk management roles for Security Pacific and Bank of America before joining GE Capital in 1993. He was involved in many of GE’s European leasing acquisitions in the 1990’s, and was appointed was appointed Chief Risk Officer of GE Corporate Financial Services’ European lending business in 2001. From 2004 to 2011 he served as European Credit & Risk Director of Key Equipment Finance.

JOHN BLANCHFLOWER

Head of Origination and Investment Committee Chairman

John is Head of Origination and Chairman of the Investment Committee. With 30 years of industry experience working with companies across a wide sector range, taking in engineering, pharmaceutical, recycling through to retailing, structuring deals to accommodate growth and development. John’s career includes running the Commercial Finance division at Alliance & Leicester, MD of Leeds Leasing plc, Haydock Finance Ltd and ULL Industrial Ltd, operating both in credit and constructing deals with clients. He has also conducted a number of “hands on” business turnarounds along with business acquisitions, development and sales. John also founded Bridge & York Capital Partners in 2009. He holds an ACIB and a degree in Law from the College of Law.

ROBERT TROXLER

GP Member

Robert is a Member of the Board of Managers at the GP. Bob’s banking career was dedicated almost entirely to investment related activities within the Citibank/Citigroup organization. He led (from New York and London), the Citibank team responsible for building investment management relationships with governments, pensions funds and investment agencies around the world. A substantial number of these were from the Middle East. Prior to his banking career, he served in the US Army. Bob is a graduate of Harvard Business School and the Virginia Military Institute.

NICOLO DUBINI

GP Member

Nicolo is a Member of the Board of Managers at the GP. In 2010 Nicolo established Harebell a company engaging in advisory in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency and is a board member of several companies operating in this field. Between 2000 and 2010 Nicolo was the Managing Director of Pirelli Ambiente, a company operating in renewable energy sources, part of the Pirelli Group. He was previously Managing Director of Franco Tosi S.p.A., the financial arm of the Italmobiliare Group.
